President Luis Abinader receives these jewels from the presidents of the Central National Transport Workers (CNTT) and the Dominican Consortium for Transport, who are representing the mandates and necessities of the sector.
The transport leaders Juan Marte, president of the CNTT, and Gervasio de la Rosa, leader of the Dominican Consortium of Transport, will demonstrate his support for the modernization process initiated by the Gobierno sector.
In agreement with a press release from the Presidency, both directors of transport in Cibao, guarantee that the drivers and operators of routes will participate in the project that the government will develop to modernize public transport throughout the country, while ensuring that to be substituted for his job.
Juan Marte, at the conclusion of the meeting with Abinader, stated that “We will discuss the theme of the vehicle fleet in order to ensure the circulation of the vehicles and the social security for the members of the sector”.
Marte informs that he is also exposing the mandate to the situation that the school transporters have, that this case is one of the reasons for the Covid-19 pandemic ”.
The President Abinader instructed the President of the Presidency, Lisandro Macarrulla, to follow up on the topics discussed.
From his barn, Gervasio de la Rosa says that the governing body promises that the route operators and corridors will participate in the transport modernization program.
