Love Island USA renews for third season: ‘We say Aloha to Hawaii’
Fans of the American version of Love Island can sigh of relief after the series was renewed by CBS for a third season.
The Love Island USA Instagram account shared the news Wednesday with a faux sms announcing the renewal.
“I GOT A TEXT … Love Island is BACK for Season 3 and this time we say aloha to Hawaii,” reads the caption.

The photo contains a Google Maps image zoomed in on Hawaii, although it was not clear exactly where in the island state the show would take place, as the island named ‘Love Island’ does not exist.
‘Season 3 is coming soon’, reads the fake text apparently sent from CBS, which added the hashtags ‘#Aloha’, ‘#BackOnIslandTime’ and ‘#ItsTheNewSeasonForMe’.
The renewal was also announced by CBS’s senior executive vice president of programming, Thom Sherman, during the press tour.
So far, no cast has been announced for the upcoming season and a premiere date has not yet been announced.

Adaptation: The first season of the American version of the British competition was in Fiji, but season two had to retire amid the coronavirus pandemic at The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas; still from Love Island season two
The first season of the American version of the popular British reality show took place in Fiji, but season two had to take place at The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas, as the competitors were all quarantined under the coronavirus pandemic.
It seems that CBS is disputing that this time they can safely present the show in a more appropriate place, although the current estimate is that the US may not be able to achieve herd immunity through vaccinations until the autumn.

However, they are forced to withdraw from time to time, and anyone left without a partner is eliminated from the series.
American actress Arielle Vandenberg hosted the first two seasons of Love Island USA and led the elimination ceremonies.
It was not announced whether she would return, but she did post the renewal announcement to her Insta Stories again.
