‘Love Island’ star arrested for trying to flee with COVID-infected beau

Zara Holland, a “Love Island” star and Miss Great Britain 2015, was arrested while trying to leave Barbados with her boyfriend after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to a report.

The 25-year-old beauty and her beautiful Elliott Love were caught when they allegedly tried to board a plane to the UK to prevent being taken to a quarantine facility, The Sun reported.

The lovebirds – who planned to celebrate the new year on the Caribbean flight – could face criminal charges, including endangering the lives of others and fines.

If convicted, they could spend up to a year in jail, he added.

Holland and Love were tested when they arrived on the island on Sunday afternoon and ordered to isolate themselves in their hotel room to wait for the results.

When Love’s result came back positive on Tuesday, the couple received red wristbands and said they would be taken to a military base that had been converted into a quarantine center, reports The Sun.

But before health officials arrived in protective gear to then take to the facility, Holland and Love cut off their wristbands, booked a flight and took a taxi to the airport, according to the outlet.

A staff member in their luxury Sugar Bay Barbados resort reportedly spotted their disposable tires and alerted police what the duo had up to at the airport security checkpoint.

They are in a COVID-19 division in the St. Lucy Hospital detained.

Holland, who was stripped of her beauty crown after broadcasting ‘Love Island’ footage of her oral sex taking part under a rival, now runs a fashion boutique with her mother.

Kenneth George, chief medical officer of Barbados, said several British tourists had violated the COVID-19 rules of the island.

‘There are three tourists who are of particular interest. “Two are in quarantine and one is in police custody,” he told The Sun. ‘Two were arrested at the airport. This is a police matter and I trust that the appropriate evidence will be submitted. ”
