Lost WiiWare title Space Invaders Get Even can switch if there is enough demand

We enjoyed Space intruders become equal when it was launched for WiiWare in 2008, giving it 8/10 stars. One of Space Invaders’ more curious spinoffs, it offers a rollover that we play the invaders and destroy cities of a UFO. Unfortunately, there is currently no official way to play it, as the Wii Shop Channel has been turned off, making it one of the many digital games currently lost forever.

Talk to Wccftech Space Invaders Forever, Taito’s game director, Yuichi Toyama, was asked about a possible reissue and replied:

Space Invaders Get Even was an exclusive WiiWare title where the player took part in the long-malignant Invaders and took revenge on humanity. This is another game we considered and if we see enough question we would love to release it. The biggest problem with Get Even is the control method: the game is designed to play on the Wii Remote, so we need to work out a solution to deliver a pleasurable gaming experience. What do you think is the best way to do this? We may be able to repeat the controls by making good use of the touch screen functionality of the Nintendo Switch.

If we talk further on the subject, Toyama also discusses a hypothetical idea that could revise Get Even’s formula. When a game is proposed where ’55 players come together in formation ‘to invade Earth, it sounds like a Battle Royale equivalent, although he also makes it clear that there are no real plans to release such a game. to set.

Considering Joy-Cons can be used similarly to Wii Remotes – as evidenced Super Mario Galaxy within 3D All-Stars – it does not sound like it would be difficult to overcome. It’s nice to know that Get Even has not been forgotten, but as an obscure WiiWare game, finding the question is a different story.
