Loser restrictions are expected soon with the COVID-19 Dial from Colorado, asking for public input

DENVER (KKTV) – The Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) is expected to make changes to the state’s COVID-19 slide, thus reducing restrictions.

The state agency is also asking for feedback on the draft amendments. The knob has served as a tool that allows the state and provinces to apply fewer and fewer restrictions to provinces that meet certain requirements regarding COVID-19 data. It was reinstated on 15 September 2020.

As of Friday, El Paso County was in Yellow Yellow and Pueblo County in Level Blue. Blue has fewer limitations than yellow and green has the least limitations of all the levels.

In the proposed update, it would be easier for provinces to move to ‘Level Green’. Click here for more information on what each level represents. If approved, the changes will also remove many of the restrictions currently applicable at that level. In addition, restrictions on pubs, retail businesses, offices and non-critical manufacturing facilities for provinces in Level Blue would be cautious: caution. If enacted, the new electoral framework will be considered ‘Dial 3.0’ and may come into effect on Wednesday.

“Because of the commitment of all Coloradans, we can be less restrictive and give local communities and their public health institutions more control while still protecting the health of the public,” said Jill Hunsaker Ryan, executive director of CDPHE. “It’s all about a balance. We have introduced the restrictions we need to delay the disease while trying to limit the consequences of the closure of parts of the state and the consequences that come with it. ”

People have until Monday afternoon to give feedback.

The most important changes in the Dial 3.0 concept are:

  • The criteria for Level Green: Protect Our Neighbors have changed, making it easier for provinces to achieve Protect Our Neighbors status. Provinces can now apply for Protect Our Neighbors if they have up to 35 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people – compared to 15 cases.
  • The criteria for Level Blue are now 36 – 100 cases per 100,000 people.
  • Most restrictions in Level Green: Protect Our Neighbors are now removed. Bars, gyms and indoor facilities must still meet a 50% limit or a limit of 500 people, whichever is less.
  • Rods can now be opened under Level Blue. The capacity limit is 25% or 75 people, depending on which one is the least.
  • Outdoor opportunities in Levels Green and Blue have no more capacity constraints. Provinces can choose to apply capacity constraints to outdoor opportunities at the local level.
  • Retail, offices and non-critical manufacturing in Level Blue can now open up to 75% capacity, up from 50%.
  • There is no longer a state limit on personal sizes. The state will follow CDC’s guidance on personal meetings. The CDC continues to strongly recommend avoiding larger gatherings and crowds to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
  • 5 Star companies in Level Blue can operate a capacity of up to 60%, no more than 50 people above restaurants and indoor events and 25 people for gyms.
