Los Angeles Lakers Anthony Davis could return in 10-14 days, with LeBron James behind

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis will be revalued in LA this week and could play again in the next ten to fourteen days, and LeBron James could be right behind him, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Davis, who has been with a calf strain and tendinosis in his right leg since Feb. 14, will be examined Thursday after the Lakers return from their current five-game, East Coast trip, sources said.

And James, who had a high right ankle strain three weeks ago, is back on track in three weeks, sources said.

Nine-year veteran Davis averaged 22.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals per game this season before the injury.

James was considered one of the top MVP candidates in the league – averaging 25.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.9 assists – before Atlanta Hawks forward Solomon Hill dived into James’ ankle took with the weight of his body while trying to steal.

At Saturday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers set an 11-13 record since Davis went out and dropped from No. 2 to No. 5 in the West Conference standings.

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin contributed to this report.
