Lori Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli, has been released from prison in California

LOS ANGELES – Fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli has been released from a California jail and is under joint custody after being jailed for his role in a bribery system for college admissions, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said on Saturday.

Giannulli (57) is married to former “Full House” star Lori Loughlin. They pleaded guilty last year to paying half a million dollars to get their two daughters to the University of Southern California. Loughlin was released from prison in Dublin in December after spending two months behind bars.

The two were one of the most sensational parents charged in the scheme, which according to authorities involved large bribes to get undeserved teens into schools with a tumultuous test score or false athletic evidence.

Giannulli was released on Friday under incarceration in the community, meaning he is a household or a halfway house, federal spokesman Emery Nelson said in an email. He would not specify to whom Giannulli was assigned ‘for privacy, security and security reasons’.

Giannulli, whose Mossimo clothing line was until recently a trademark of Target, was detained at a federal prison in Lompoc near Santa Barbara. He reported in November and would be released this month.

According to records, he is under the supervision of a Long Beach Prison Bureau that manages a half-house, as well as inmates under house arrest. According to the records, he will be released from custody on April 17.

The Justice Department has ordered that the Prison Office be allowed to house prisoners quickly and release prisoners quickly – with priority given to those in low or medium security prisons – starting with hotspots for viruses. Advocates, however, have expressed concern about racial and financial inequalities in those receiving housing.

In Touch, Giannulli’s release first reported.
