Not all heroes wear hoods, so we salute Lizzo for doing what few brave enough people do: move on to Chris Evans’ DMs.
The “Truth Hurts” singer, who made it clear that Captain America is by far her favorite Hollywood Chris, revealed that she once sent the actor a message on Instagram.
Lizzo’s DM, which entered hilariously at Evans’ mailbox at 17:22, contains three simple emojis’ 💨🤾🏾♀️🏀 ‘, presumably to convey the message of shooting your lap.
“Do not drink and DM, children … for legal brown pigs it’s a joke,” she wrote along with a TikTok message shared on Saturday.
In the video, Lizzo lip-syncs with a TikTok sound by Tatayanna Mitchell before her one-sided convention with Evans. “The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I will not be able to marry him, and honestly it hurts me a lot,” she said, leaning closer to the camera. ‘Because he’s a dad, he’s a rare breed, which can not be compared. Like, Chris … ”
The “Avengers” star has yet to comment on whether Lizzo’s DM was seen when she posted the video. But these two do share a history of mutual admiration, so Evans may just be taking his time.
In 2019, the actor again shared a video of a young girl dancing to Lizzo’s hit song “Juice,” writing, “This kid is cooler than I could ever hope for.”
The Grammy-winning singer took a decisive, more direct approach in a follow-up tweet and wrote to Evans: “Wow marry me” with an emoji with a shrug.
Lizzo made a joke about their interaction during the MTV Movie Awards and said she was “going home” after discovering that Evans was not attending the ceremony.
“The fuck no,” she said when Evans ever responded to her tweet. “This is Chris Evans. He does not respond. If he were to respond, I would not be here right now. I would be on my honeymoon. ”
If Evans ever goes to check his DMs, it could be a power pair in the making, as both stars are seemingly single at the moment.
He was last linked to British actor Lily James, while Lizzo made her relationship very clear last month with a brutal Instagram.
