The White House on Saturday made it clear that intelligence officials would reportedly decide whether former President Trump would receive customary briefings given to former presidents.

A day earlier, President Biden said in an excerpt broadcast on CBS that he thought “he does not need to have intelligence briefings.”
“What impact does he have at all, other than the fact that he might slip and say something?” Biden told interviewer Norah O’Donnell.
While Biden has the power to make the decision himself, he will leave it to the intelligence community, his assistants told The Washington Post.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement: “The president expresses his concern about former President Trump gaining access to sensitive intelligence, but he also trusts his own intelligence team to make a decision. “about how to provide information if at any point the former president asks Trump for an information session,” according to the Post.
