President Trump’s support among Republican voters remains strong despite the criticism he faced in the media and lawmakers after the January 6 riots.

Only 8% of Republican voters support President Trump’s second indictment and his dismissal, a new national poll shows.

This is in stark contrast to the 89% of Democrats and 45% of independents polled in a NBC News poll on Thursday. Election college election over Trump.

The poll was conducted on January 10-13, mostly before and slightly after the vote of 232-197 by Wednesday by the House of Representatives to accuse Trump of ‘inciting insurgency’. Ten Republicans voted to accuse the president – they joined all 222 Democrats – with 197 House Republicans voting against accusation, and four GOP lawmakers voting no.
