Judge Merrick Garland will receive questions from both sides of the aisle about how he will run the Justice Department when he hears the Senate confirmation at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
President Biden appointed Garland, who is serving in the U.S. District Court of Appeals, as his attorney general on January 7. The trial is expected to begin Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.
Garland is expected to face questions about how he will oversee the ongoing prosecution of rioters who stormed the Capitol on January 6.
