The Senate voted in favor of proceeding with President Donald Trump’s second political juiciness, despite the defense’s argument that the process is unconstitutional because the executor could not be appointed if he were to die.
Antes, the accusers of the Chamber of Representatives will present the arguments in favor of the proceedings, asserting that there are legal precedents in the history of the state (including the first political juice in 1797) and that the executor must respond to the missing fees in the institution.
The vote was 56 against 40. Of the 56 votes in favor, 50 were Democrats and six Republicans. A Republican, Sen. Bill Cassidy, has been summoned by the Republican majority and five GOP colleagues for the past three weeks to have voted in favor of the lawsuit.
To pay tribute to Trump’s guilt, Democrats need the votes of 34 Republican senators. The block of 44 votes against the trial means that now it is probable that Trump is guilty.
Trump has been accused of inciting insurgency on January 6, with a number of his followers calling the Capitol.
