Tarsier Studios’ weird horror adventure Little Nightmares II is currently being launched on all platforms, including Google’s own Stages. If you happen to be a Pro subscriber, you can claim this disturbing adventure for free.
The original Little Nightmares is also available at Stadia and was free at Pro for several months. Both games follow the now-cliche indie horror roadmap of a small character in a large, ominous environment, solving puzzles and avoiding conflict with grotesque enemies.
That first game, however, was a compelling onslaught on the formula, while Metacritic scores hovered in the 70s. Early reviews of the sequel seem more or less so positive. This new entry introduces a second protagonist, Mono, who joins the recurring player character Six on their haunting journeys. Although trailers show how the two react to each other to solve puzzles, Little Nightmares II is still a single player game.
Little Nightmares II is currently available for $ 29.99 – or for free if you’re a Pro subscriber.
