Wanuri Kahiu will star Bryan Unkeless and Eric Newman’s Screen Arcade.
Lili Reinhart has put together her next feature film project with Netflix.
Reinhart will play in a double timeline drama Plus / minus with Wanuri Kahiu, who sat behind the popular Kenyan romance Rafiki, set to direct.
Reinhart will play the lead role as Natalie, whose life on the eve of her graduation at the university is set out in two parallel realities: the one in which she becomes pregnant and has to motherhood as a young adult in her hometown of Texas, and the other in which she LA moved. to pursue her career. On both journeys throughout her twenties, Natalie experiences life-changing love, devastating sadness and rediscovers herself.
April Prosser is behind the script. Screen Arcade’s Bryan Unkeless and Eric Newman will produce, after recently releasing a sci-fi feature Project Power with the spreader. Jessica Malanaphy of CatchLight Studios will also be producing, with Alyssa Rodrigues of Screen Arcade and CEO of Reinhart.
Reinhart, selected by UTA, Anonymous Content, and Peikoff Mahan, first broke out as Betty Cooper in the popular CW series Riverdale. Her first major studio film was Hustlers, where she starred opposite Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu, and then starred in Amazon romance Chemical hearts, which she also executive produced.
Prosser, repeated by Kaplan Perrone and Ziffren Brittenham, is behind the blacklist The one who got away and Plus one which is now both set up at Amazon, where she currently writes The art of French kissing.
Kahiu is repeated by CAA, Gotham Group and Sloane Offer.
