This is a feature first introduced on robovacs from companies like iRobot and Shark, but LG has just revealed a wireless vacuum with a charging station automatically empties the subject’s bin Once moored, give yourself another excuse to deal with all the crumbs that fall to the floor during your daily attempts to get up from the couch.
The new LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Compressor + cordless vacuum cleaner is, despite a solid name, another lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner that cleans the floor and occasionally takes less effort, but even with two replaceable batteries included, you probably will not be able to be to clean the floors in an entire house. This is the thing that goes wireless, but LG is now offering at least a consolation price.
The vacuum docking station should make it easy to charge the LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Compressor + without having to grab a cord, but when moored, the stand sucks all the dirt and grime out of the trash for you: a convenience that anyone who appreciates a dust cloud escaping while emptying Dyson’s cordless vacuum cleaner will appreciate. The dirt is collected in a larger dust bag that needs to be emptied sporadically or completely replaced – LG did not specify whether the system constantly needs fresh bags.
What is certain, though, is that the plant is not quite small, and despite the marketing materials, you probably do not want to see it in your living room. In addition to the dust collection system, it also stores a bunch of extra cleaning nozzles and accessories for the cordless vacuum cleaner so that it does not disappear in a cupboard or drawer. The LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Compressor + may also make your floors shine, as it has a built-in water tank and an interchangeable Power Mop accessory with a few rotating microfiber blocks that can be used to scrape hardwood floors.
As far as vacuum cleaners are concerned, the LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Compressor + offers more features and functionality than any of the competitions, but this is probably also the reason why LG has not yet announced pricing. With the charging station, extra battery and whipping capabilities, this vacuum is likely to come with a price tag pushing a thousand dollars, but can you really cost a price not to empty a small trash can every day?
