Entombed AD made the tragic announcement that frontman Lars-Göran Petrov had passed away.
LG was diagnosed with ‘incurable ‘bile duct cancer last year, declaring that it ‘can not be removed ”but that doctors were ‘try to control it with chemotherapy ”. Today (March 8), his band members posted a statement saying the musician sadly passed away last night.
‘“We are devastated to announce that our beloved friend Lars-Göran Petrov has left us,” they wrote.
‘Our brother, leader, singer, our Chief Rebel Angel went on a ride again last night. It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Lars-Göran Petrov has left us. He was (is !!!) an amazing friend, and a person who touched so many people. He has changed so many lives with his voice, his music, his character and his unique personality. LG‘s smile is something we will carry in our hearts forever. When asked in an interview what he wants to write on his grave and what about his legacy, he said: ‘I will never die, it will never die. And you have not. You will live in our hearts forever.

He spoke to Louder last summer after announcing his cancer battle in public. LG gave ‘a big call to the Swedish health service ”.
‘They are wonderful, ”he said. ‘They had a very difficult spring and summer with the coronavirus, but when I come in, they are always happy, always in a good mood. They are amazing.
‘But also do your investigations from time to time, “he said in a message to supporters. ‘You never know. I do not want anyone to wish this shit, so take care of yourself and use your common sense. ‘
