Be glad, Danger! lovers: LeVar Burton is bound to the desk!
The actor-director-educator – who is already at the very top Danger fans’ wish list to succeed the late Alex Trebek permanently – will serve as one of the rotating hosts of the game show. Its two-week period is airing this summer.
Sony Pictures Television on Wednesday announced the final harvest of interim hosts that will finish season 37, and in addition to Burton, the list also includes Good morning America‘s George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts, and CNBC’s David Faber.
Burton tackled Twitter Wednesday and all but confirmed that it was the “passionate support” of fans that got him the job, adding: “I am delighted, excited and eager to host Danger!, and will do my utmost to fulfill your faith in you. YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE! ”
BOOK contestant Ken Jennings kicked off the era after Trebek in January and was followed by Danger! EP Mike Richards, former Today co-host Katie Couric, polarizing health guru and talk show host Dr Mehmet Oz, NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who is currently in the middle of his two-week period. 60 minutes‘Bill Whitaker, Danger! All-Star Buzzy Cohen, Big bang theory veterinarian Mayim Bialik, TodaySavannah Guthrie, dr. Sanjay Gupta and sports chairman Joe Buck also plan to make a detour behind the cathedral.
