Arc System Works has uploaded a new Guilty Gear Strive Starter Guide video for Leo Whitefang, one of Illyria’s three kings, who is also Ky Kiske’s friend and rival.
Leo made his debut in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- as a DLC character. But in Strive for, he will be available during the launch in the game. Although co Xrd debutant Ramlethal Valentine got a significant change in her playing style, Leo still plays mostly similar to the previous series.
Its unique advantage is the backlog officially known as Brynhildr Stance. Some of Leo’s movements can only be performed while he is on this posture, such as Kahn-Schild – where he generates a shield that can park attacks from close range and reflect most projectiles – and the excessive movement of Stahlwirbel. However, Leo users should also keep in mind that he cannot jump or do a regular block with the back posture.
Leo Whitefang is the last character to return to the Guilty Gear Strive open beta client list and receive a Starter’s Guide video this week. The remaining characters who have yet to receive their guide videos as of this writing – Nagoriyuki and Giovanna – are both brand new, so we’ll be learning their motion lists for the first time with their upcoming videos.
Guilty Gear Strive will be released on April 9, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. Arc System Works is holding an open beta test for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on February 17-21, 2021.
