Lenovo’s premium ThinkPad X1 laptops have been a highlight of its CES announcements for years and will continue to do so CES 2021 despite being virtual. The computer maker introduces two new models and two updates to its ThinkPad X1 series the X1 fold and X1 Nano released late last year, which is currently the lightest ThinkPad with 907 grams.

The main attraction for this year’s announcements is the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, which according to Lenovo is the thinnest ThinkPad ever at just over 11 mm (0.4 inches). It also weighs only 1.2 kilograms. The convertible two-in-one has a 13.5-inch 2K 450-nit screen with a 3: 2 aspect ratio (something I see a lot more on business laptops, along with 16:10 screens).

Apart from the sleek build and covered with titanium material, the two-in-one has an IR camera for touchless logins as well as a fingerprint reader and is 5G ready. It is expected to order later this month from $ 1,899, ranging from AU $ 2,460 to £ 1,400.

The X1 Titanium joins the brand new ThinkPad X12 Detachable, a 12.3-inch tablet with a detachable taillight keyboard. It also has an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and is designed to survive extreme heat and cold, dust, falls, spills and thrusts. It’s also 5G ready, which makes it sound like a pretty good option for commercial field use.

Lenovo has also updated its ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga and moved them both to 16:10 aspect ratios with low blue light and integrated fingerprint readers on the on / off buttons (something I hope in the next Yoga 9 models). And like the others, there is optional 5G wireless.

All of this works on 11th generation Intel processors and is part of the disk maker’s Evo platform, which lets you know that you’ll get a laptop that achieves real mobile performance goals, such as a long battery life, good wireless and an instant. -on work experience.
