Nintendo has revealed that a remaster of the 1999 RPG classic Legend of Mana will be released on June 24 on Switch, PS4 and PC. Check out the trailer up top, which was first unveiled during today’s 50 minutes Nintendo Direct.
The Legend of Mana remaster features better graphics and a rearranged soundtrack, which you can swap for the original score if you prefer. Even better, the ‘Ring Ring Land’ mini-game finally makes the west for the remaster after being exclusive to Japan for more than 20 years.
You can pre-order the Legend of Mana remaster now for $ 30, and if you do it before July 23, you’ll get a rewards bundle with ten avatars and a custom Legend of Mana theme for PS4 or wallpaper on a PC (via Steam).
Legend of Mana was and still is unique to its “Land Make” world building system, where the player placed objects called Artifacts in empty square plots on a grid-like map. Artifacts placed on the map then become a land where the player can enter and complete to earn another artifact. Fighting takes place in real-time and involves the use of powerful weapon capabilities between normal attacks when the special rangefinder is full.
The Mana series in general has revived a bit over the past few years. The first three games were bundled into the Collection of Mana on Switch in 2019, and last year, Trials of Mana received a complete remake.
