LeBron James turns his 36-year-old body around after missing dunk

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers faced the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night, and it was an opportunity for the defending champions to improve on their record early in the season.

LA opened their title defense with two defeats in their first five games, leading to some frustration for the group. The Lakers’ fair start was fairly illustrated by a well-rounded James dunk against the Spurs, whose four-time MVP bounced back quickly (and literally).

Here’s a look at LeBron showcase his unbridled athletics at the tender age of 36, when he performed an impressive flip from the floor after a missed dunk attempt:

LeBron James celebrated his 36th birthday on Wednesday, which he concluded with a victory against the Spurs. Friday’s showdown was a rematch against Gregg Popovich’s team as the Lakers managed to win against San Antonio.

In turn, LeBron has had a strong start to the campaign so far, stealing 23.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 1.0 steals, while 47.3 percent of his shots in the overall committed – including 2.2 tries per game on a 35.5 percent cut. Clearly, The King have no problem finding their form early in the season, despite a shortened interruption.
