Leaker Jon Prosser claims that AirTags and the new iPad Pro will be announced next month

Apple will release a number of new products this year, and the first round of products may be just a few weeks away. YouTuber Jon Prosser, who has a mixed record regarding reporting on Apple’s plans, claims that AirTags and brand new iPad Pro models will be unveiled next month, presumably via a virtual event.

Prosser, who runs the technology news program “Front Page Tech”, tweeted earlier today that AirTags “are still running for March” and that he has not yet “heard of any further delays this time.” However, this is not the first time that the online personality claims to have information about AirTags. In October, Prosser said that AirTags was “for sure” came to the November meeting, but it did not materialize and the event was fully focused on Apple Silicon Macs. The YouTuber too assert that AirTags would be released alongside iOS and iPadOS 14.3, which also did not happen.

Process it previously claimed March 2021 as a release month for AirTags, but it’s worth noting that Apple usually does not hold events earlier than March, and its claim seems to be an educated guess. Finally, Prosser once said that AirTags will likely be released at Apple’s 2020 event in 2020, and that it did not come into being either.

In a follow up tweet today, Prosser repeats his previous claim that updated iPad Pro models will be announced in March this year. There have been rumors for some time that new iPad pros will launch, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expects a release in the first half of 2021, joining Prosser’s timeline for March. Once again, it is noteworthy that Prosser did this previously claimed new iPads would be released by the end of 2020, which did not happen.

Nevertheless, the YouTuber has been the source of accurate Apple information in the past, including accurate reporting on the exact date and time for the launch of the second-generation iPhone SE in April and the 13-inch MacBook Pro in May, and he has correctly reported the release of an updated iMac in August minutes before it became official.

The most credible information so far regarding the launch of AirTags comes from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said last month that AirTags is on track for a 2021 release, although the analyst no longer has a more specific time frame did not provide.

Leaker L0vetodream, which has a reliable record, has cryptically indicated that AirTags can occur in small and large sizes. There are rumors that AirTags contain replaceable batteries and work directly within the Find My app on iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
