Leaked Huawei P50 Pro versions show a crazy camera

Huawei P50 Pro leaked 3

  • The first series of high-quality versions of the Huawei P50 Pro leaked today via regular source @OnLeaks.
  • The versions show a very unique egg-shaped camera hump with two large discs.
  • The P50 Pro also appears to have an IR blaster.

Although Huawei is still experiencing tough times thanks to the ban on Huawei, that does not mean that the company is out of the game. We still expect the manufacturer to launch the P50 series at some point in 2021. Today we took a look at one of the first-class models in the range.

Below you can see the CAD-based versions of the Huawei P50 Pro. These images come thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks. He is a very reliable source for versions like this, so it probably gives an accurate version of what this phone might look like.

The most interesting thing about the versions is the rear camera push. It’s … umm … very unique. Check out the images below to see for yourself.

One of the more prominent rumors we’ve heard is that the P50 Pro may include a 1-inch camera sensor. If true, it’s the biggest sensor ever on an Android phone. It is possible that this strange, egg-shaped camera bump has something to do with the sensor.

Hammer dust claims that within each black disk there may be several lenses in the egg-shaped hump. This is entirely possible. Unfortunately, versions like these can not give us much information about the inside of the device, only on the outside.

However, we can see that the Huawei P50 Pro looks like an IR blaster at the top, just like the P40 series. This is interesting, as most flagship phones abandoned the IR blaster feature years ago, but Huawei refuses to let it go. Unfortunately, Huawei does not seem to bring back the 3.5mm port, another feature that has faded over time.

Of course, this phone is guaranteed to launch without access to Google apps, including the Google Play Store. There are rumors that it could start with Harmony OS, Huawei’s Android alternative (which apparently is only Android 10).
