League of Legends: Wild Rift open beta launches this month

League of Legends: Wild Rift, a spin-off of the PC game, is in open beta in North America on March 29, developer Riot announced today. The beta is available for mobile devices on iOS and Android.

Riots announced Wild tear in 2019; it promised an open beta in March earlier this year. The game is not a real port, but a ‘built from scratch’ version with changed elements such as the controls of the game and its cards. North American players have ‘full access’ to Wild tear as part of the beta, with room for more players to join. Wild tear would initially be launched last year, but was slow down due to the coronavirus pandemic; a full release date has not yet been announced. The beta is available in other areas.
