While fans are still waiting to see Lashanna Lynch and Daniel Craig in the new James Bond movie No Time To Die, Lynch got her next role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 33-year-old actress is in final talks to star in Netflix’s music adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda.
The production has not yet found the young actress to play the title character, and there is no indication of when the filming may begin.

The musical follows a premature 5-year-old girl who discovers she has telekinetic powers, which she uses to protect her friends and keep bullies off the table.
Lynch portrays Miss Honey, described as a “friendly teacher who encourages Matilda and her gifts.”
While Matilda was not yet in the cast, Ralph Fiennes was involved in the portrayal of Mrs. Trunchbull, who continued a tradition of male characters portraying the head girl.

The character is played by a woman in the 1996 film adaptation, with Pam Ferris taking the role, but the musical has always featured a male actor as Trunchbull, including Bertie Cavell, Bryce Ryness, Craige Els, with Craig Bierko even as a replacement on Broadway.
The role of Miss Honey also represents an important change, with the role played by white women.
Embeth Davidtz plays the teacher in the 1996 adaptation, starring Lauren Ward, Jennifer Bowles and Carly Thoms in the stage musical.

He works from a custom screenplay by original playwright Dennis Kelly, with Tim Minchin returning to provide original music and lyrics.
The stage musical had a 12-week trial run at the Royal Shakespeare Company in November 2010, before debuting on the West End in November 2011 and its Broadway debut in April 2013.

She will be seen next time in the long-awaited James Bond film No Time To Die, which will be released on April 2.
