Lana Del Rey shared the video for her new song “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”, the title track for her upcoming album. She also announced the release date of the album; it’s on March 19th. Watch the video below.
The new video comes one day after Del Rey shared the album’s playlist and artwork. In addition to revealing the artwork, she posts a comment acknowledging the diversity of the people on the cover of the album (which also appears in her new music video). “This is my friends, this is my life,” she wrote. “We are all a beautiful mix of everything – some more than others that are visible and celebrated in everything I do.” She wrote that she had ‘always been extremely inclusive without even trying’ and called on someone to ‘comment’ on a WOC / POC issue ‘- apparently a reference to the social media outcry over’ an Instagram post from May 2020.
Chemtrails about the outdoor club follow Del Rey’s 2019 album Norman Fucking Rockwell! She previously shared the single “Let Me Love You Like a Woman” and performed it The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
