Lana Del Rey clarified her recent comments about Donald Trump, saying that they were taken “out of context” by some publications.
The musician gave her views on the outgoing president’s role in the Capitol storm last week, explaining that she does not think he knows he is inciting a riot.
“He has a delusion of grandeur,” she told Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1, yesterday (January 11). “I think he’s bad.”
Now Del Rey has clarified her comments, which have been widely reported, on Twitter. ‘Just to take a moment to say that what I described to the BBC was that Trump was so severely harmed that he may not know what he is doing because of his significant lack of empathy and the bigger problem is the issue of sociopathy and narcissism in America, ”she said.

“I will say it again. I do not appreciate that the larger magazines take my well-intentioned and believe that it believes liberal comments out of context. This is actually what I often sing about. This is what I was condemned for saying. You can listen to the whole interview. ”

In the BBC interview, star Trump calls ‘a reflection of our world’s biggest problem, which is not climate change, but sociopathy and narcissism’. “It’s going to kill the world,” she added. “It’s not capitalism, but narcissism.”
She shared her thoughts on the president during the premiere of her new single ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’. The song is the title track of her next album, which was confirmed to appear on March 16th.
The recording was initially scheduled to be released around the one-year anniversary of her latest album ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’, But was delayed because she felt it was not finished yet, and then again due to delays in vinyl production.
