LA restaurant owner warns TVs to be turned off will push people into Super Bowl

A Los Angeles restaurant owner on Monday expressed his frustration over the health department’s order to keep TVs off for customers after eating out again.

James Brown, owner of San Pedro Brewing Company, told Fox & Friends that the mandate to prevent people from staying outside restaurants is going to push them indoors to watch the Super Bowl on February 7th.

“Super Bowl is always a busy day,” Brown told Ainsley Earhardt. ‘The idea behind the dining room outside is that people can go outside and not spread the COVID. What’s going to happen in the Super Bowl? Everyone is forced to re-enter. This is frustrating. ‘

Brown limits dining parties to 90 minutes to serve as many customers as possible after ten “rough” weeks of takeaway work.

“It was definitely an up and down roller coaster like I’ve never seen before.” Brown said. “Things are going to get better, but we want to show the Super Bowl.”

Brown remains ‘optimistic’ after he was able to bring back all 25 employees who were fired when the dining room closed.

“This is what I do to live,” he said. “I’m not going to be beaten about it. We’ll find out. ‘
