Kyrie Irving followed up his pressure to have the NBA logo changed from Jerry West to Kobe Bryant after the Brooklyn Nets turned the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.
Irving talked more about the logo and explained that he believes it is part of his “responsibility” as a black man to ‘push our culture forward’.
“I know it’s probably been met with some people who like it – who like the idea – and with some people who don’t like it,” Irving said. ‘But my thing is to pay homage to the example that man set.
