Kushida wins WWE NXT Cruiserweight title

Kushida is your new WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

Tonight’s NXT premiere on Tuesday night defeated Kushida Santos Escobar in a solid back-and-forth match to become the new champion.

This is Kushida’s first title in WWE. Escobar just reunited the Cruiserweight titles last Thursday on ‘Takeover: Stand and Deliver’ Night Two by defeating Jordan Devlin in a Ladder Match and becoming the undisputed NXT Cruiserweight champion. WWE now refers to Kushida as just the NXT Cruiserweight Champion. Escobar has been champion since winning the final of an eight-man tournament at the NXT Show on June 3, 2020.
