Kristaps Porzingis pushes Moe Harkless on cruel night

It was not Kristaps Porzingis’ night.

Porzingis shot 3-for-14 from the floor and ended up in a fight with Kings forward Moe Harkless in the Mavericks game 121-107 on Sunday.

With Sacramento leading Dallas 71-54 in the third quarter, Harkless and Porzingis exchanged words before going nose to nose. Porzingis then pressed a smiling Harkless. Both players were judged to be technical errors.

It was an ugly loss for the Mavericks, who are struggling to get out of the playoffs of the post-season. Dallas sits as the seventh seed – two games behind the Blazers – with the top six teams in each conference securing a playoff spot. The Kings lost nine games in a row before Sunday night’s surprise run.

Like Porzingis, Harkless spent time with the Knicks. He was acquired by the Clippers by the deadline of last season as part of the Marcus Morris deal.
