Rumors today are the result of a week-old news report indicating that Japanese entertainment conglomerate Konami has closed its video games division. Konami assures us that it was not.
In a news release dated January 15 the Japanese company announced the dissolution of its three production divisions, along with staff members for employees who previously headed production departments. What happens in the announcement, according to an official statement to Kotaku by Konami, is just a consolidation of departments.
The statement read: “The announcement referred to refers to an internal restructuring, with production divisions being consolidated. We did not close our video game section. ”
No worries, Konami will continue to make it PEST football game and whatever is being done these days. Yu-Gi-Oh and so on.
