The marriage of nearly seven years to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may come to an end sooner than expected.
The reality TV star and rapper, who untied the knot in May 2014, “completely” stopped going to marriage counseling, a source close to the couple told People magazine on Tuesday.
“[Kanye] talk to divorce lawyers this week, ”the informant told the outlet.
Another source told the outlet earlier that the stars were in marriage therapy in hopes of saving their relationship.

Reps for Kardashian (40) and West (43) did not respond to Fox News’ multiple requests for comment.
The Grammy-winning artist, who was noticeably silent about the divorce rumors, was last seen on social media during the presidential election in 2020. The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star recently crossed a milestone to have 200 million followers on Instagram .
Kardashian lived with the couple’s four children in Los Angeles, while West allegedly chose to live on his Wyoming farm, Page Six reported earlier.
A source told the outlet earlier this month that a divorce is imminent.

“They keep it low, but it’s done,” the source further claimed at the time. “Kim has appointed Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”
Wasser is a well-known divorce lawyer in Hollywood and regularly supervises asterisks.
Problems in paradise between the two were first reported this summer when West announced his candidacy for president in the 2020 election.
While what Kardashian later implied was a delivery of his bipolar disorder, West raised the possibility of divorcing his wife during a campaign, claiming they would abort their first child.

“Even if my wife wanted to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world, even if I did not want to,” West told People in a crowd, crying, according to People magazine.
In a tweet that has since been deleted, rapper ‘Power’ also claims that he has ‘tried’ to divorce Kardashian since she attended a prison reform event with Meek Mill in 2018.
In the same outburst, he also overshadowed Kardashian’s earlier Playboy distribution, claiming that the mother of reality star Kris Jenner is no longer allowed to see his children.
He later apologized for the Twitter outburst, but the ordeal apparently left Kardashian ‘furious’.

In July, it was reported that the couple had been considering a divorce for weeks and that Kardashian and her famous family were ‘protecting’ their children from their father’s public outbursts. Later that month, the stars were spotted having an emotional conversation in Wyoming.

It seemed to be better between the two, as Kardashian showed support for her husband during one of his Sunday Service events in August and was also seen in a family video with West the same week.
Last month, however, it appears that things should have gone worse, as reports surfaced that the two ‘lead separate lives’ and spend ‘a lot of time apart’.

The marriage is West’s first and Kardashian’s third. She was previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 and to basketball pro Kris Humphries from 2011 to 2013, although she filed for divorce after only 72 days of marriage.
