Kia shows the first complete images of the new EV6 electric car

Kia really took a look at its new EV6 electric car for the first time, after some shadows were released last week. Full details of the EV6 will only be announced in an online event later this month, but the new images at least reveal what it looks like.

The EV6 has a sporty crossover-inspired design and is the first vehicle to use a new design philosophy from Kia that the company calls ‘Opposites United’, consisting of no less than five pillars: ‘Bold for Nature’ ‘,’ ‘Joy for reason, “” Power to progress “,” Technology for life “and” Stress for calm. “Kia Habib, Kia’s head of design, explains what this means in this video:

“EV6, as the first dedicated Kia EV, is a showcase of people-centered, progressive design and electrified power. We believe that EV6 is a compelling and relevant model for the new EV market, ‘Habib said in a statement. “With EV6, we aimed to create a distinctive, effective design using a combination of sophisticated, high-tech features on pure and rich volumes, while offering a unique space as a futuristic EV.”

And here’s the inside:

Kia describes the EV6 as its first “dedicated battery electric vehicle”, as the Niro has gas / hybrid models, as well as the newer version with an electric drivetrain. The EV6 is built around the new E-GMP platform from parent company Hyundai and is the second E-GMP vehicle to be announced; Hyundai launched its own Ioniq 5 last month.

For more technical details, wait until the EV6 is fully announced. Kia has not yet announced a date for the event, but says it will happen in March, so it will not be too far.
