Khloé Kardashian’s bikini drama by Kate Upton addressed: ‘Let’s start embracing our bodies’

Model Kate Upton spoke out about Khloé Kardashian’s recent bikini picture drama.

Kardashian, 39, recently found herself in the headlines after an unpublished bikini photo of the reality star made the rounds on the internet. It seems that the picture caught the star and her family by surprise, and led to them threatening legal action if its replications were not removed.

The Good American magus took to Instagram to scrub the photo on the internet and to defeat the “unbearable” standards she was expected to meet.

Since then, celebrities such as Jameela Jamil have spoken out on the issue, urging fans and stars to abandon the “diet culture” in favor of a healthier, more accepted lifestyle and outlook.

“Let’s start embracing our bodies and stop changing them to create unrealistic standards,” she wrote on her Instagram story on Thursday about a screenshot of an article calling Kardashian’s drama ‘very sad’.

This is not the first time the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has talked about body image and acceptance, as she touched on the subject earlier in 2019 when she spoke to Health magazine about editing photos.

“If you think about it, we now have retouching everywhere – and we do not even know it,” she said at the time. “People are stopping Instagram recordings and retouching the photos. This is the new norm.”

Upton says that such habits lead people to believe that others ‘actually look’ as the edited photos make it appear, and they should also believe that they ‘should look that way too’.

“So, for me, taking a pristine survey is a step in the direction of real life,” the model explained. “The goal should be to be the best you can be – not to try to look like someone else.”

When Jamil initially spoke out, she said Kardashian’s insecurities were due to ‘ten years of ridicule by the media and the world over your body’.
