Miya Ponsetto is the symbol of white privilege, and she falsely accuses 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr. of stealing her phone is a contemporary reflection of what happened Emmett Till … according to the mother of the black teenager.
Kat Harrold Ponsetto has sounded responsible for her actions during and since the December 26 incident at the Arlo Hotel in NYC, specifically because Miya’s denial of racism was a factor … and her ethnicity and age were used as an apparent shield to be held accountable to become.
According to Kat … Miya that being Puerto Rican does not mean that she is not racist, and that being 22 years old is not too young to be excused for it. She points out Emmett Till died as a result of false accusations by a white woman of 21 … and Kat believes that racial injustice is reflected in her son’s case.
Kat says the evidence is how the hotel reacts to the situation when Miya accused her son of stealing her phone. She claims that Arlo did not interrogate the Black teenager, but did NOT interrogate Miya. Kat says the hotel immediately chose next to her and cites it as a clear example of white privilege.

As for the Arlo Advocate Ben Crump and Keyon’s parents are calling for a ban until the hotel condemns the individual racism that Ponsetto allegedly displayed and accepts responsibility for the racial profiling they say.
They blame the hotel manager for not aggravating the situation, accusing him of treating the Black teenager as if he were guilty of the jump … and forcing him to prove that he did nothing wrong. not. Worse, they point out that Miya was not even a patron of the hotel … and yet she was treated with more respect than Keyon and his father, Keyon Sr. – who actually stayed there.
They rally – “Not anymore, Arlo!”
As we reported, Ponsetto was arrested in SoCal last week, flown back to NYC where she has been charged with attempted assault, attempted robbery, great annoyance and endangering the welfare of a child due to her quarrel with the teenager.
However, Miya was NOT charged with a hate crime, and the prosecutor never even mentioned any racial component to the case Saturday in court. Keyon Jr. ‘s parents – Keyon and Cat – we were told earlier that they believe the ordeal reflects racial injustices as a whole.
BACKGROUND
The racial problem is something Ponsetto will not be able to avoid, regardless … so much was clear when she got there back at LAX after her court appearance in NYC.
