Kevin Hart’s Beastly New Carbon Fiber 1970 Dodge Charger Has 1,000 Hp – Robb Report

Kevin Hart’s collection of muscle cars continues to grow. But while the latest addition looks just like a 1970s Dodge Charger, what’s under the hood tells a different story.

This is because the comedian’s new ride was specially built by Speedkore. And because the tuner in Wisconsin has yet to meet a high-performance vehicle, it could not get even more powerful, and the ‘Hellraiser’, as it was christened, is equipped with a massive 426 Hemi engine.

That 7.0-liter crate engine that sold out two years ago is better known, according to Motor1.com, as the “Hellephant”. And sure enough, it’s a true beast capable of delivering 1,000 horses and 950 feet of turning. The second-generation Charger is already an iconic muscle car, but even its most powerful configuration, with a 7.2-liter V8 that could deliver 375 horsepower and torque, could not hold a candle to this monster.

But the ‘Hellephant’ engine is not the only upgrade of the car in 2020. The animal mill is mated to a Demon-spec ZF 8HP90 8-speed automatic transmission, which, we can assume, offers significantly better performance than the original 3-speed automatic transmission. The muscle car is also equipped with a front suspension of a C6 Corvette and a custom four-bar setup with Penske shocks at the rear. Other handy features include Brembo brakes and three-piece HRE wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

While the car retains the original charger’s design and shape – there are a few things you just are not doing – the bodywork has been completely redone in exposed carbon fiber. It also features an obscured color scheme that gives the car a menacing and extremely cool atmosphere. The Gabe’s Custom Interiors-designed cabin features a roll cage, Recaro GT Sportster seats with 4-point Simpson Racing vehicles and a custom sound system.

Speedkore did not announce a price for the custom ride, but it is reasonable to assume that it put Hart back in the six figures. In a report earlier this week, it was suggested that the star spent a few hundred thousand dollars to completely overhaul the classic muscle car. Two words: Worth it.
