The Brooklyn Nets announced that Kevin Durant is out for the rest of the game Sunday afternoon against the Miami Heat with a left thigh. Durant started the game hot and scored eight points in the first quarter, but sustained an injury and went back to locker room after an awkward ride to the basket.

On the ride, it looks like Trevor Ariza’s knee hit Durant’s left thigh on the way to the basket, which could have caused the injury.

Durant had just returned to Brooklyn last week after missing almost two months of action with a hamstring injury. The severity of the injury is unknown, but if Durant has to miss more time, it will be another big blow for the Nets, who have yet to set up a large amount of chemistry between his three stars in Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. not. .

The Nets are already without Harden, who has missed the last five games with a hamstring injury, and Irving has been in and out of the series several times due to injuries and personal reasons. Together, Durant, Harden and Irving only played seven games together, but they were incredibly strong offensively. The problem is getting everyone healthy at the same time, which has not been easy this season. Hopefully all three stars will be healthy for the playoffs. Otherwise, it could be a serious problem in Brooklyn’s quest to win a championship this year.
