KENTA appears on AEW Dynamite, attacks Jon Moxley

KENTA made a surprise appearance at AEW Beach Break on Wednesday and attacked Jon Moxley after the main event.

While Moxley wanted revenge on Kenny Omega, a masked man jumped into the ring and hit Moxley from behind. The man identified himself as KENTA and gave Moxley a GTS when Excalibur commented that he would challenge Moxley for the IWGP US title without giving the date.

The AEW world champion looked approving when Don Callis (on comment) said it was amazing how these things came together when they were all there. Excalibur asked whether ‘the disruption in the Bullet Club has been resolved’. KENTA, a member of the New Japan rankings, stared at Omega and then left the ring, still looking at Moxley.

Moxley will defend the US title against KENTA on February 26 issue of New Japan Strong in a match already recorded. Moxley won the title at Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020, but has not been able to work for NJPW since February due to the pandemic.

Omega, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Moxley, Rey Fenix and PAC during the Beach Break main event Wednesday.
