Ken Jennings’ run as Danger!‘s inaugural host approaches his conclusion.
TVLine has learned that the BOAT contestant will end his performance as Alex Trebek’s temporary successor on Friday 19 February. Jennings will donate the baton Danger! executive producer Mike Richards, who will be hosting no. 2 serve.
As previously reported, Richards is then followed by Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, NFL fullback, 60 minutes‘Bill Whitaker en Big bang theory veterinarian Mayim Bialik. Additional hosts will include Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta of CNN, as well as dr. Mehmet Oz en Todayis Savannah Guthrie.
To mitigate the agreement, the games show will make a donation to the guest host’s charity, in an amount equal to the cumulative profit of the participants competing while presenting.
Jennings kicked off his six-week period as host on January 11th. He was the first to join Trebek, who died of pancreatic cancer in November.
“Sharing this stage with Alex Trebek was one of the greatest honors in my life,” Jennings said at the top of his first show. ‘Not many things in life are perfect, but Alex is this working for well over 36 years, and it was even better up close. We were blinded by his intelligence, charm and grace.
‘Like everyone Danger! fans, I miss Alex a lot, ”he continued, fighting back tears. And I thank him for all he has done for us all.
