Kawhi Leonard (leg contusion) is out for LA Clippers on Sunday

LOS ANGELES – LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out with a left-footed injury in Sunday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Clippers started the first game of a home rugby tournament without their two stars. Leonard joins Paul George’s sideline (swollen right toe). George missed his fifth consecutive game due to injury.

Coach Ty Lue said Leonard suffered an injury at one point during the Clippers duel to Minnesota and Chicago. Leonard scored 36 points in a win over the Wolves and 33 points in a win over the Bulls.

“I’m not entirely sure when that happened,” Lue said before facing Cleveland. “Or when he’s going to be again.”

Leonard missed four previous games this season due to a mouth decoration and when he had to enter health and safety protocols due to contact detection.
