Katie Price says she made the decision to put her son Harvey, 18, in full-time care.
Price (42) said in an interview with The sun that Harvey would live in a residential college, which she hopes will teach him to lead a more independent life.
“It breaks my heart,” she said The sun. “I do not want him to think that I’m just getting rid of him.”
Price raised her son, who has autism, largely as a single mother. Because of his autism, he can sometimes turn out unpredictable, especially when he hears loud noises, Price said.
“You hear about people being arrested for autism and if they refrain, they go crazy and get divorced,” she said. The sun. ‘That’s why I want to find the right university for him. If there’s ever a case where he starts, I’m involved. ‘

In a recent Instagram post, Price proudly expressed her son, saying that he “overcomes mountains and obstacles every day that other people take for granted.”
The TV star said she and Harvey have been looking at residential colleges for children with autism and learning disabilities for the past six months.
“It’s so upsetting to think I will not see him every day, but that’s the best thing for Harvey and we should think positively because I do not want him to think I should just get rid of him,” said Price. . “This is his chance to lead an independent life, learn skills and interact with people other than me.”
According to Price, Harvey will live there until he is 25 and will have his own space where he can learn to live alone.
“I hope he will make friends so he can visit on weekends, but if he has no plans, he can come home whenever he wants,” she said. The sun. “He is scheduled to start this September, but with the exclusion I do not know if he will do so.”
