A royal expert claims that Kate Middleton ‘will act’ and ‘take on the role of future queen’ after the death of Prince Philip.

Royal biographer Phil Dampier, who spoke exclusively to FEMAIL, said Kate was ‘rapidly declining in her role’ as she approached her 10-year anniversary of marrying Prince William and a royal year.

The Duchess of Cambridge (39) allegedly played a peacemaker between Prince William and Harry at the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh last week because she ‘like the queen does not take revenge or revenge’.

“At Prince Philip’s funeral, Kate really came of age,” Phil told FEMAIL.

‘She comforts Prince Charles with a loving kiss and hug, brings William and Harry together and gives a quiet dignity to the proceedings.

“She reportedly joined Charles and William in a chat at Frogmore Cottage to heal Harry’s wounds.”

“It must have been difficult after what Harry and Meghan said about her in the Oprah Winfrey interview, but Kate is growing up fast and wants to do what’s best for the royal family,” she added.

During Meghan and Harry’s bombing interview with Oprah last month, the Duchess of Sussex claimed her sister-in-law made her cry before she married Prince Harry.

While insisting that she have forgiven Kate Middleton now and saying that she bought flowers for her to apologize for the row that made headlines around the world after an alleged fall over dresses for the flower girls.

Next week, William and Kate celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary with the couple still mourning William’s grandfather, Prince Philip, who died on April 9 in Windsor Castle.

After the loss, Phil said the royal would take on more responsibility in the firm.

“She picked up many of the Queen’s characteristics of tolerance and pragmatism, not reacting too much to situations, but trying to decide what is best in the long run,” he said.

‘Like the queen, she does not hold grudges or revenge.

“Kate realizes that the Queen needs her and William more than ever and she will do everything in her power to support her,” he added.

Phil also explained that the royal would probably take on a bigger role than the queen, Charles, Camilla and Anne.

“I expect to see her in the future with the Queen on public engagement, as well as other members of the family,” he said.

‘With the Queen now 95, Charles, Camilla and Anne in their seventies, much rests on William and Kate.

‘They have enjoyed long periods of family life in Norfolk and try to give their children the most normal education possible.

“But now they’ll have to act like a future king and queen, and Kate looks ready to play her role,”
