  • According to a new report, Kate Middleton released her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, after the latter admitted in an interview that she ‘does not have a royal life.

  • According to Engels, both Kate and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, reached out to Meghan after the emotional interview, but they were ‘repelled’.

Kate Middleton allegedly tried to reach out to Meghan Markle during one of the most emotional moments of the Duchess of Sussex as a working royal.

The difficult period in question? Shortly after the premiere of ITV’s documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African journey, which included an emotional interview with Meghan in which she admits that she was’ not ‘okay’ in life as a royal.

“Any woman, especially if they’re pregnant, is really vulnerable, and that’s really made challenging,” Meghan explained during the interview. “And if you have a newborn, you know it. And especially as a woman … it’s a lot. So you add it to just trying to be a new mom or a newlywed. It’s … yes. I think, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m doing well, but it’s a very real thing to go behind the scenes. “

When interviewer Tom Bradby asked if it was fair to say that Meghan “is not really OK”, she simply replied “yes.”

According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, at least two other members of the royal family reached out to Meghan after the emotional interview, but their efforts to provide support were not well received.

“William was also deeply hurt by suggestions from the Sussex camp that he, and especially his wife, had Meghan with a cold shoulder,” Engels wrote in a new column for the Daily mail. In fact, I was told that Kate – and the Countess of Wessex – had both repeatedly ‘reached out’ to the Duchess, especially after she had expressed her unhappiness in a television documentary. But they were rejected. ‘

Meghan clarified the statement later during an interview for the October 2020 teen therapy podcast, explaining that she was exhausted, breastfeeding while on the royal tour and wanted to bathe her son Archie, who was then five months old.

“I did not think about it. I just answered honestly,” Meghan explained on the podcast. “I was in a moment of vulnerability, because I was tired, because there was no presentation. It was just here, where I am: I am a mother with a baby of four and a half months and we are “But I think the reason it resonates with people is because everyone wants to be asked if it’s okay with them.”
