  • Kate Middleton and Prince William will not be returning to Kensington Palace after the holidays.

  • The Cambridges have decided to stay in Anmer Hall, Norfolk, while England go into a third exclusion.

  • Prince George and Princess Charlotte will soon not be going to school at Thomas’s Battersea again.

For Kate Middleton and Prince William, the holiday season is over – and yet the Cambridges are not returning to Kensington Palace. England had just re-entered amid a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, and Kate and William decided to stay at their home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, where they were celebrating Christmas. According to the Mirror, the Cambridges have already resumed the homeschooling of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as for a significant portion of 2020.

Kate and William will be working from Anmer Hall, with the wider royal family aiming to support charities and businesses in England’s third national exclusion. “The family is committed to helping the country through the next phase of the crisis,” a royal source told SU Mirror. “There are already plans to reach out to a variety of charities and businesses, and fortunately they are now well acquainted with the world of video calling.”

George and Charlotte did not return to school at Thomas’s Battersea this week, although other children in England did initially. Before the government announced on Monday that all schools nationwide would be closed, London primary schools were instructed not to reopen after the holidays. Now, students across the country are unlikely to return to school until at least February, as the BBC reports.

Louis’ entry into formal education was probably also delayed by the closure of England in the school: If Hello! reports, it was predicted that the youngest Cambridge would start nursery school this month, following George and Charlotte, who started nursery in January 2016 and 2018 respectively. Although kindergartens have not yet closed in England, Kate and William have yet to announce Louis’ entry, and with the Cambridges staying at Anmer Hall, it seems unlikely he will start anytime soon.
