Kanye West’s Yeezy brand is reportedly suing a former intern for half a million dollars for sharing the company’s confidential information on social media.
According to a report first published by The Hollywood Reporter On Friday (January 15), the Yeezy company filed a lawsuit against Ryan Inwards in the Los Angeles Supreme Court on Friday. The billion-dollar clothing brand accuses Inwards, which signed a non-disclosure agreement when it became internal last summer, of distributing non-public company images on Instagram. NDAs usually restrict one or more parties from disclosing confidential information through threats of litigation. The case alleges that the company sent in letters several times about the termination of the images, but at the time he refused to remove them.
West’s company allegedly complained about breach of contract and is demanding $ 500,000 in damages and punitive damages. They are also asking a judge to force Inwards to turn over the images he has and prohibit him from posting similar images online.
