Whether they are actually realistic or not. . .and the smart money is on “not”. . . the Kirk Cousins trade rumors are floating out there. Since there hasn’t been much other news around the Minnesota Vikings in the off-season so far, I assume something should be the topic of conversation.
One man you can apparently firmly place in Cousins’ camp is the soon-to-be (we hope) offensive rookie of the year, wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Jefferson was in the Jim Rome show on Wednesday and he said he did not understand why # 8 gets so much heat (among other things).
“He definitely takes in a lot of heat. He takes in more heat than he really deserves. ”
It’s not surprising to hear of Jefferson. . .After all, does anyone think he’ll be shortlisted for Offensive Newcomer of the Year with Sean Mannion as quarterback?
I do not.
Jefferson likes his quarterback. That’s enough endorsement for me.
