When It’s us fans saw Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown)’s fight in the fourth season finale, and fans were worried the Pearson brothers had reached the point of no return. But now it looks like both parties are ready to move on. Following the brand new episode on February 9, Hartley hinted that Kevin and Randall’s feuds might come to an end on It’s us Season 5. Here’s what the actor said about the future.

In the fourth season finale of It’s us, Kevin and Randall argued over Rebecca (Mandy Moore)’s medical care. But the disagreement quickly turned into a screaming match, revealing 40 years of resentment.
When the first few episodes of It’s us Season 5 illustrated how Kevin and Randall’s fight hurt their relationship. The Pearson brothers had very few brief conversations, each time filled with discomfort and awkward silences. But things started to change after Randall undertook a trip to New Orleans.
In It’s us Season 5, Episode 6, Randall discovers the truth about his mother, Laurel (Jennifer C. Holmes). The experience also enabled Randall to start healing and to let go of all the ‘bad things’. So Randall decided to call Kevin and possibly make amends with his brother.

That being said, Kevin was a little busy with Madison (Caitlin Thompson), who started labor just six weeks early. Kevin was in Vancouver to film a movie. So he desperately tried to return to LA for the birth. Kevin also took a rain check on his conversation with his brother.
Meanwhile, Randall showed up for Kevin in a different way. At the end of It’s us In Season 5, Episode 7, Randall and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) called Madison and supported her in Kevin’s absence.
“I talked to Kevin,” Randall told Madison. “I know he’s trying to get to you. But we just wanted to say if you need anything, you should call in the meantime. We’re still driving back from New Orleans. So if you want us to send food there, or something, we just want you to know we’re here. ‘
He continued, ‘If you like, we can stay with you over the phone for a while. We can really stay with you. You are family. ‘

Kevin and Randall’s relationship seems to be recovering It’s us Season 5. Then, in an interview with Deadline, Hartley hinted that the Pearson brothers are ‘back on track’.
‘The gesture his brother would fill in for him and do what he thought Kevin would do for him. It just shows Randall’s heart, ”Hartley said. ‘I think something like that is sometimes necessary to get things back on track. So this is good. ‘
Meanwhile, Hartley revealed his hope that Randall and Kevin would move forward, suggesting that the birth of the twins could bring the two brothers back together. Hartley said:
That big tear, many times it’s necessary to bridge a big event and bring those two people together. What a great gesture! And Kevin is all about big gestures. I hope the gesture, the willingness to be there, the dedication, to ‘fill in’ for Kevin if he could not be there. I hope this leads to them finding some truth and a way back to their relationship.
