Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool manager excludes himself from Germany’s work

What did Klopp say?

Asked if he would accept the role, Klopp said: “Am I available for the coach of the German national team this summer? No.

Joachim Low did an incredible job. I’m sure the German FA will find a good solution. ”

‘I still have three more years at LFC? It’s simple. You sign a contract and stick to the contract. I kept contracts with Mainz and Dortmund. ”

What does Liverpool’s current form look like?

The Premier League champions’ form has broken over the past few months.

They have lost their last six home games in the league – for the first time in the club’s history. They played 68 league games at Anfield unbeaten before their current run began with a loss to Burnley in January and now have the worst home record in England’s top four levels this calendar year.

After visiting the league last season, Jurgen Klopp’s team is in eighth place and 22 points behind Manchester City’s leader. With a title defense out of reach, Liverpool are also facing an uphill battle to reach the top four of this campaign.

How has Germany fared recently?

Germany recently struggled under Low. They were knocked out in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup, the first time in their history that they left in that part of the tournament.

They also finish at the bottom of their group in the first Nations League. On top of that, they finish second in their 2020-21 Nations League group, which includes a 6-0 defeat against Spain in November 2020.
