Juan Guaidó: “The intention of Maduro’s dictatorship is to undo Venezuela’s alternative democracy”

“The intention of Maduro’s dictatorship is to undermine the alternative democracy in Venezuela (…) We are bound to recover our democracy, our freedom, and all the dignity of a country”. From the elections convened by the Chavista regime in December of this year – and considered fraudulent by the Vasta mayor of the international community – the president Juan Guaidó has highlighted the importance of continuing the frontline of dictatorship with “union”, as much as the front of the fronts.

This Wednesday, the Venezuelan opposition leader encounters a forum organized by the Liberty Foundation and that counts with the media of the periodical and writer Álvaro Vargas Llosa. During his presentation, which was extended on a one-hour basis, the interim president described the current situation of the country and the cults would be the main governing bodies of the intergovernmental government to face “the persecution and censorship” of the regime.

Over 20 years of the power of chavismo in power, Venezuela is at the forefront of the humanitarian crisis of its history, and of the few that have covered the continent in modern history. The resistance that has taken over Guaidó’s governor since the year 2019 has provoked prison arrangements for the parliamentary jefe, and persecution against decades of deputies he has held in exile. These plans focus on the fraudulent elections that took place in December. The opposition leader said his diplomatic team was in constant talks with the United States and Latin American governorate “to force the pressure” against the dictatorship.

Consulted on the possibility of a possible negotiated settlement, Guaidó recorded that in previous years the dictatorship included the pact, and on occasions the unilateral manner of dialogue was withheld. “We are not prepared to go any further than the dictatorship. We need to log in to transfer it, learn about the early mistakes, learn about the previous media processes. Understand that dictatorship is not going to have a one-sided way of resolving the crisis. We need to be in a national and international manner in order to meet the conditions in which we live in free elections ”.

The internal president, at the moment questioned by the failure of results before the pressure on the dictatorship, recognizes that there are some errors in the strategy of lucha, of the figures “must learn” to follow the “unity” against the dictator. Between these “mistakes”, Guaidó said that “it is underestimated by dictatorship and its ability to form alliances with totalitarian regimes”. Alliances that permit, for example, evade international sanctions and follow commercialization. The emblematic case is the issue of Iranian gasoline to make front in the combustion chamber.
